Is there  any good reason the age  of consent  is   16 and not 12?  Why is  this the way it is ?  When  a lot of women today    are having  sex at   12,  why should we   not allow it if they want it? Do we really want to put more  people  in  jail for doing whaqt they want to do?

Consider that biologically, both genders are sexually mature at around 12, and that in past history, our lifespans were only 40, maybe 50 yrs. max. So people did get married and had kids in their early teens- it was middle age! With that in mind, it is only the law that interferes with Nature.
