when it comes to phone apps, i can tell you what my Husband explained to me before about them. So there is a timeframe in which they are useful and that is after release when there are enough people on to actually have a selection and the moment the bots, fakes and unhinged come flooding in. he says the older the app the more unlikel it is to actually find someone on them. because phone apps are much easier pushed aside and forgotten than other platforms.the habit seems to be to download the app, search someone, find someone, delete the app... thanks to that, only bots, fakes and unhinged people remain on those for longer. not sure if this helps you, good luck.
