Default 20 Years Together: Thank You — and What We’re Doing Next

TL;DR
Thank you for 20 years. Paid subscriptions used to cover hosting; the remainder helped pay the team.
• Since April 2025, billing is paused; everyone who tried to pay got VIP free—on purpose.
• Compliance is live inside each gallery.
• We’re working on restoring and exploring alternatives.
• We’ll keep you updated. Thank you for sticking with us.

20 Years Together: Thank You — and What We’re Doing Next
Friends,
On behalf of our entire team: thank you. For nearly 20 years, you’ve built and kept this community alive. A special thank-you to everyone who paid for subscriptions—your support literally kept the servers running, and whatever remained helped pay our team. Without you, this site would not exist.

We’re sorry for slow replies from support. We read everything, but we’re answering more slowly than we’d like. That’s not an excuse—here are the facts:
• Since April 2025, our billing provider temporarily paused accepting payments from new users and stopped payouts on all rebills.
• At the same time, new compliance requirements landed—negotiations with processors, engine changes, and new workflows.
• The result: we’re keeping the site going after our day jobs, on pure grit and our own dime.

We also want to recognize those who tried to support the site anyway. From April 2025 onward, absolutely everyone who attempted to purchase a subscription received VIP for free. That was deliberate: your commitment matters more than a transaction until billing is restored.

Where we are now
• We’ve rolled out compliance tools inside each gallery to cut confusion. Every photo/video gallery requires its own document set.
• We’re in active talks with payment partners and assessing alternatives.
• We’re stabilizing hosting and core features while we map the road ahead.
What you can do today
1. If you have content, upload documents inside the relevant galleries (each gallery needs its own set). That’s the fastest path to unblur.
2. Share constructive priorities—what’s most critical to fix first.
3. Want to help as a volunteer (moderation, testing, localization, tech checks)? Reply in this thread.
4. Keep the tone helpful and respectful—it lifts the whole community (and the team).
Our commitment
We’ll communicate honestly and regularly, protect the community, and make decisions in users’ interests. We’re not perfect, but we’re present—and we’re not quitting. Thank you for your trust and patience.
We believe in this community and will do everything we can to preserve it.
With respect and gratitude,
The Team

Please give us the ability to cancel/delete our profiles completely if y'all aren't going to do it for us. I'd like to move on, and leave this place behind.

Ok so “free vip”. Hmm, the perk of vip membership is being able to watch the longer videos, right?
If there are NO VIDEOS how is that a benefit for us? What you need to fix, you won’t. The absurdity is shocking. You know people aren’t going to send in their id’s. Let us delete out content and accounts and call it a day. Give us an amicable separation if you care about the “community” here.

Thanks
🥂

They're literally trying everying except what we're asking for. Let us leave. Let us remove our profiles.

Do I need to start spamming?

This is just such a sad way to go for this site. My husband and I have been members of this site for 13 years and although we haven't been active over the last 3 years, we've met a few people from this site that we still have over now that the kids are back in school. I don't expect the site to come back to it's glory days, especially since there are many meetup apps that make things easier and safer, but it's still a sad way for this site to go.

Hey — we hear you.

Full self-serve account/profile deletion is on our development backlog. Right now the entire team (including Support) is heads-down on critical work to keep the site online and stable, so we can’t process manual deletions at the moment.

We checked your account and there’s no public content or personal details visible — it’s effectively empty. When self-serve deletion ships (or when Support is back to normal), you’ll be able to remove the account entirely. In the meantime, you can log out and turn off all notifications in Settings.

Totally hear you — here’s the straight answer.

Why videos are locked right now: as of Sept 1, we had to temporarily close all media to meet new legal requirements for UGC. Not a choice; it’s compliance to keep the site alive.

About “free VIP”: from April through Aug 31 all videos were available. Opening the support/checkout page auto-granted free VIP (no charge) so longer cuts played. If you never hit that flow, you wouldn’t have seen it.

Delete your stuff now: you can remove any uploads and clear your profile info today (Profile → Edit to clear fields; Uploads/Albums → Delete). Nothing you delete remains visible, and during the current lock your media isn’t public anyway.

Account deletion: full self-serve account/profile deletion is on the dev backlog. The whole team is on critical “keep-the-site-online” work, so we’re not processing manual deletions at the moment.

We get the frustration. Our aim is the same as yours: either bring value back in a compliant way or let folks leave cleanly. Thanks for saying your piece.

Thank you for the kind words — and for being here for 13 years. 💛
It is bittersweet, but we’re not writing an ending; we’re rebuilding to surpass the “glory days” with a safer, smarter community experience.

We’ve posted more details and our near steps here: https://www.iloveinterracial.com/for...tarts-now.html. Would love your thoughts there.
