Several possible points have been made already on some of the reasons about this and I'm sure they are true in certain instances. One thought that comes to my mind as to why it seems a lot of older women are into this could be the fact that many out there may have grown up during a time and place (I'm 43 and from Alabama so go figure) where it was VERY much taboo to be involved in relationships like this. I'm not saying all the negativity has gone away but I can say that even where I'm from it's nowhere near what it used to be and I'm seeing more and more IR couples and such nowadays. I think the question was why are older black men going for older white women. I once read that black guys (men) like older white women because the young ones take them for granted whereas an older women are still struggling with the old taboos and thus the experience for them is better. It's like the young girls "don't know THEIR place" if that makes any sense. That is EXACTLY something I have thought of more than once. Obviously it won't happen overnight, and probably never go away, but I imagine eventually it will become something that has nowhere the "thrill" it has now because of the "taboo" and "outside the norm" values attached to it. All I can say is let's enjoy it while we can because there may come a time when we look back on this as the "good old days".
