LPGA golfer Rachel Connor was arrested early Wednesday morning (March 7) in Sarasota, Fla. after the police noticed her speeding and weaving in her lane, according to TMZ. When she was pulled over, she blew a .133 and a .137 and was having trouble walking, so she was booked with a DUI.

Who was her passenger? Former NFL star and Heisman trophy winner Eddie George. He was not arrested and a took a cab home after Connor was arrested. George later told TMZ he was not cheating on his wife Tamara George, but had merely gotten a ride from Connor because she was "trying to be nice."

George continues, "As part of a two-day charity golf event, a group of us who had played together on Tuesday celebrated at dinner. The group included Rachel Connor. After dinner, as everyone left the restaurant together, we realized that Rachel lived the closest to where I was staying. So she offered to drop me off. I believed her to be competent to drive and not impaired at all. We were stopped shortly after we left. At first, I hesitated to respond to this story. But I now see that people are willing to think the worst. So my wife, Tamara , and I believe we have to address this."
