One of my teammates at University in Florida was originally from Zimbabwe and was black as the ace of spades. At first we didn't get on but after a while we became very good friends. We would sometimes run in some of the rural areas of central Florida, and he would occasionally get paranoid about being lynched. It was pointless trying to reassure him that he would be ok, so I took the opportunity to take the piss out of him. The best way was that my English accent was hard to understand when I spoke quickly and people ask me to repeat myself as they never understood me the first time...
One time we were jogging up to and past some farm houses, he says to me "What if farmer comes out wit gun."
I said to him "Not to worry - We're here to see you Daughter......and when the farmer yells "what"........We need some water"
Not, only was this funny but he thought that I would actually say this, and would go into a near panic.....he only laughed when in the safety of our dorm room.......
