If you are in a similar situation do not be reluctant to speak with a teacher you like. You will be surprised at the favorable reaction you may get. We hear of teachers getting in trouble but they are in the minority. I for one love to be confronted with a black boy. In 12 years neither I nor the boy were discovered. The youngest was 15 and he had to be taught about not boasting.and not being too friendly in the classroom.
