My first local guy was 29. I'm 46. We started off meeting for coffee, got along great and took the next step. He wound up using 3 condoms that night, so I thought he'd enjoyed. He talked about getting together again. Then, he told me that he wanted to find a woman that he could get in to a real relationship with. I understood and wished him well. Then, 3 months later, he posts that he's looking for a casual playmate for the summer. I sent him a message wishing him good luck and remarking that he seemed to have gotten over his aversion to casual. His reply was that situations change, and that he was looking for less of an age discrepancy this time around.
To be honest, that made me feel like I'm ready to go into "the home". I'm not sure that I'll ever be able to fully believe a younger guy when he says he wants to be with me, based on that experience. I had my doubts before, but this guy convinced me that age wasn't an issue. Now, I'm feeling that my original thoughts were valid all along.
