Allow me to say "Hello" and a cautious "Welcome". This site has attracted a very large number of scammers, fakes and flakes. Single men (usually, closeted white men) pretending to be single women and couples, sometimes black men. Presumably for the sole purpose of deceiving people for some type of thrill.
It has gotten so bad (worse than other sites) that myself, and others simply assume that someone who is unwilling to show themselves on web-cam is simply a fake and a fraud.
If you just want to look at pics and vids, perhaps post in the story forum, then feel free to do so, no need for any type of verification.
BUT, if you want to communicate in any meaningful fashion through the forum and in the chat room you should get verified. The FAQ forum has a list of verified members, contact one of them and let them see you on cam. I suggest MustangAlley, she'll treat you right.  You may also use Skype if you prefer.
When using the chat room, turn on your cam. You don't have to get naked, and you can partially obscure your face if you want to maintain some anonymity. But without a cam, no one will take you seriously.
No cam = FAKE
Please do not use the tired excuses of "I don't have a cam" or "It's broken/inoperative" that is a sure sign of a fake. Again, a pair of glasses, a hat, anything to cover a portion of your face is acceptable. People just want to know that they are talking to a REAL person. If you claim to be a woman, they expect to see a woman. If you are TS/TV, that's o.k., just be honest about it. If you are a man, that's o.k. as well, again, just be honest.
If you are not willing to confirm you are who and what you say you are then you are probably not serious about meeting anyone or even having an online relationship.
