I'm with everyone here in that if we're secure on the disease front, feeling the semen squirting inside of us heightens the feel and sense of being taken, but I don't understand the feeling of security given by regular std testing.

If once it is positive, the horse is already lost from the barn so to speak. It is only a preventative measure if your test actually comes out positive and prevents you from having sex with someone you have not yet infected. Also, what sort of lag time is there between infection and the ability of a test to detect the infection (for HIV; our main concern)?
