Couldn't read the whole thing, but it touches on a key frustration. For us, we simply aren't taking people online terribly seriously, not to the point of depending on them. We meet in person at lifestyle events, not some hotel room and certainly not at our house. No masks, decade ago bodies, completely oblivious spouses, etc.

To the hornball game players: grow a pair already. Talk with your significant other about what interests you in all of this. Might be scary, unpredictable, even met with shock or tears. But if you cannot communicate on that level, what kind of relationship do you really have? Seriously.

We aren't the most experienced couple in this by a long stretch. However, we are genuine and in this together and will do whatever is comfortable for both of us. Who needs the drama of misrepresentation? Flirting and teasing is fine, as long as promises that will likely be broken don't start creeping in.
