Yes its definitely a physical response. We're obviously the physically superior race. Watch any sports that requires strength , speed and we dominate. That also translates into our well known sexual prowess as well.

For centuries women looked for men to protect them and to make sure their young would be protected as well. And while maybe not as necessary today it's biological at this point. So women are still drawn to the physically and sexually superior and that is us.
