Well, the expression hasn't been around all that long really. And, you would really have to be familiar with what's going down in the latest black lingo to be hip to it. When I was in college, some of the white frat guys had a generic name for black guys . . . "a Nate" . . . LOLOLOLOL :D

And I really started noticing it recently. I think it is from the Six Mixalot Song Baby Got Back. I always assumed it was from that song and never thought twice about it. I'm pretty sure that is the origin.

I always thought it came from the Plies song Becky.

Good chance it's from Rebecca-- Jewish girls were know to prefer interracial relationships more than most, and Rebecca is a Jewish name. In my own travels, I've noticed that Jewish girls are markedly less inhibited than others. :)
