track and field - albino
In my final year at the University in Florida I joined the associated group of athletes still connected to the University track programme. This group was mainly sprinters and hurdlers, and I was the only White, long distance runner. We would all meet up at the track, warm up, stretch and do our plyometrics, followed by our workout, and then cool down. There were about 30 of us altogether male and female.
Once there were three, very attractive blondes walking around the track. One of the sprinters decided to try to chat them up - so there we were stretching and limbering up - and here was this fella boasting about the Black man's prowess on the track and in the bed. One of the blondes pointed at me and said "what about him?"
He said "He's a ginger albino"
Well we all fell about bladder bursting laughing, and the girls walked away bemused (not really understanding the joke). The nickname "Albino" then stuck with me for the rest of the year, despite my obvious embarrassment......
