That's sad tnblack sadly it's more to do with light sleeping than too conservative as expressed throughout the whole of the thread light sleeping is a danger for this and whispering as quietly as possible is the only deterrent.
The protection is the talking in your sleep so that if someone woke up you faking sleep then waking up and asking them a little angrily what their talking about and damn I was having such a good dream.
The light sleeping would have led her to being aware and testing you the next night and that's what it is the light sleeping is the issue here.

Imagine guys that have super conservative wives but have good levels of normal sleep.
