Nehighlander, yours is another good response along with so many others. I'm mentioning this not to dig up negative horrific history but just a couple of generations ago, even the pursuit or desire of interracial sex expressed by a black male in a subtle and/or non touching way such as a stare, certain smile, compliment, etc. could literally lead to death. Historically, this happened many times in this country now fast forward to the present and the recent past and all of a sudden, what use to constitute death, physical injury or being ostracized from one group is now okay or at least light years more acceptable. The forbidden fruit, whether viewed by some black males or some white females, is now available without great cost or fear. For some, I think the desire and secrecy involved is tantamount to working for a secretive organization whether it is the CIA, undercover law enforcement, corporate espionage, etc. meaning that many don't want to get caught and the payoff is so sensual, rewarding and pleasurable that you put it on the line to get what you want. Just my two cents.

Yes, pretty much the case. One thing I failed to mention was that my wife's grandfather was a Klan member and proud of it. You can imagine his views of black men with white women, he must be turning over in his grave over what Amie has done!

Steve, I thought your statements were the most sound and reasoned and even honest that was posted. Everyone has a different perspective, and that causes people to vary in their outlook, desires, and method of satisfying those desires. I am 20 but I do have an understand ing of the history of it, having heard about it from family members, as well as from older black people. Living in a small town in the Deep South puts me on a somewhat different footing than someone living in , say, New York City. If I have a need for privacy or secrecy, then that is just the way it is. If I was in NYC, then that privacy would not be as much of a factor. Anyone can be anonymous there. Anyway, just my two bits worth LOL

I don't use the n word. I will add, however, that I get tired of hearing music that continuously uses the word over and over again. I know there are blacks who are against the use of this word, but yet the music is filled with it. Apparently the word isn't as offensive as would seem. The black community seems to have two schools of thought on its use and seems to be somewhat divided. I'm white, I don't use it.

I'm against the use of the n-word too. It's an American thing, but some black people in other countries are copying it. I think it should be rejected completely. Why try to re-appropriate a derogatory name?

I don't believe that a white woman who decides to say it in the bedroom would never use it if she got really angry. You probably sometimes use the word in your mind if you ever say it out loud.

I was really surprised when we were talking to our bull and he kept mentioning the word nigga , we have a very respectful relationship and apart from the sex , he is very good friends with my husband , when we got round to talking about fantasies , he said he wanted me to dress as a virgin bride ...and could he talk dirty to me .... and would I reply back talking filthy .. So what do you think about use of the colloquial Russian word "negr"? I know it doesn't mean the same thing as "nigger" . . . but it sure the hell sounds like it !
