As I explore the world of bondage I'm finding that trust, respect and honesty are actually at the core of it. Anyone who's just looking to abuse somebody just doesn't get it, and should be avoided.
Very good point!

Of course, a trusted partner and a 'safe' word are essential.

Afterwards, as I contemplate the red welts across my bottom, I feel very feminine!
I surrendered myself, gave myself to him....
But IF you have a trusted partner wouldn't the safe word become less essential?
To me if you trust someone enough to play without the safe word then you have come much closer to truly surrending yourself. All of which makes D/s play more interesting/exciting in my opinion.

Default Does really rough sex count?

I have engaged in really rough sex that at times incudes choking, hair pulling, slapping, biting, arm twisting, and really hard pounding, etc (sounds like a WWF wrestling match lol). Its always consensual of course but my question is does this fall into the sadomasochist realm? Some women like some pain with their pleasure, and I do aim to please.....

Oh yes! BDSM is an essential part of my sexual desires and experiences. I am intensely submissive and the thrill of being naked, helpless and subjected to the whims of another is incredibly arousing. The act of complete submission to another for his/her pleasure is so fulfilling.
