Many women like myself joined for the online community. I have to keep my personal and professional life separate and maintain a certain persona in public. Even though I indulge in my personal life as much as possible, the need to keep things separate makes it hard. The online community here and the anonymity is the reason why I joined. I want to have a conversation or discuss things, but almost all the stuff in my inbox are questions about my looks, wanting sex or wanting pics. These were not the reasons why I joined. Since I have joined I have had only two men contact me just to chat about something that wasn't about fucking me (well some weren't clear with words like just "Hi" which I ignore because I don't know what you want) And I enjoyed those conversations on a variety of topics (movies, my job or his job, my personal life or his personal life, lifestyle choices, you know just chatting to get to know me and for me to know him) which was the main purpose of my joining. Maybe one day I'll meet them but that is not the reason I am here.
If more of the guys were gentlemen and respected my personal privacy desires I would contact them more often. But most of them don't and I ignore them
